                  I also decided to use the film, Split as it is a recent well-known horror film. In this particular film, there were no opening credits however the production companies, Blinding Edge Pictures and BH Productions were mentioned. In the first 2 minutes of the film, we can see a girl who is considered "weird" to her classmates at a birthday party. The main character's guardian could not pick her up so another dad offered to take her home along with the birthday girl and her best friend. After the dad loaded up the groceries in the car, we can see a strange man get in the driver's seat who the girls do not recognize. The establishing shot of the film is the main character who is anti-social and sitting in the corner while the other girls are taking pictures.         I also decided to choose the film, Boys in the Trees from Netflix as it is a horror movie as well. In this film, the production companies are Mushroom Pictures, White Hot Productions, and South Australian Film Corporation. The film also shows that the director's name is Nicholas Verso. In the first 2 minutes, we can see a teenager boy who is the main character skateboarding on halloween night. As he approaches children who are trick-or-treating he is warned that a scary time is coming but he blows it off. The next scene the main character is taking pictures of skaetboarders at the skatepark performing tricks. The establishing shot is an army figurine crawling across the ground and the camera shifts to a tilt upwards as the skateboarder picks up his toy. I also chose the film Death Note which is a horror film which was recently released on August 25, 2017. In this particular film there were no opening credits, however in the beginning it does show that Vertigo Entertainment and LP entertainment are the production companies and it is a Netflix original film. In the first 2 minutes of the film we can see that the film takes place at a high school as it shows school busses, football players practicing, and the cheerleaders practicing. The main character is doing another person's homework and after he finishes the student approaches the main character and pays him for his work. A thunderstorm starts and a book titled the Death Note lands right next to the main character doing homework from the sky.                I also decided to analyze and study the film, 1922 as it is a well-known horror movie based off of Stephen King's book. In this particular film there were no opening credits however it does show that is a Netflix Original Film and Campfire Film Production is the production company. In the first 2 minutes of the film we can see an older man walking through a town in Nebraska towards his apartment. Once he enters his apartment, he begins to write a letter regarding his wife and her potential death and how he would like their assets to be given to their son, Henry James. A man who lives next to him is sitting against the wall with his ear towards the wall to hear what is going on. The film starts with an establishing shot of the town and the main character walking to his apartment.             For our film we will be creating a horror film, so I decided to study and analyze a film in that genre called Hush. In this particular film there were no opening credits, however it does show that Blumhouse Productions and Intrepid Pictures are the production companies for the film. In the first 2 minutes of the film we know that the main character lives in a home within the woods and is cooking a meal. Her neighbor offers to come over to hangout and while they are talking we also know that the main character, Maddie is also deaf.        I decided after evaluating both the advantages and disadvantages of creating a magazine and a film to work with a group on a film. I chose this because I think it would be more fitting for me because I am very interested in the creativity part of creating a plot with a script and using different camera angles that portray the characters in a certain way . My skills that will help in the process is my creativity/imagination and my videographer skills. I will be working along with two other students, Crystal Mavrikas and Rachel Peel in creating a horror film with a setting at the beach. We have created a theme and have come up with a plot including the rising action and climax as a group. I believe that we all have good team-building skills that will help us all to collaborate together in a pleasant manner.        A filmmaker, or a film director, is a person who is in charge of the film from the development stage to the finished project. Creating a film would be very interesting for me because I am fascinated in how different camera shots and angles affect the style and effect of the film. An example of this would be how a low angle shot creates a sense of authority in the character, whereas a high angle created a sense of vulnerability in the character. I also think it would be fun to create a really interesting plot and setting for my film that the audience would find entertaining. The film offers a unique, creative opportunity for me to explore my interests in filming and directing. I also think it would be interesting to choose certain actors and actresses that would be fitting for the characters in the film.            A Print Journalist gathers, writes, edits, and publishes news stories for newspapers or magazines.  Print Journalism is very interesting to me because you can choose topics and articles that are interesting to you or a hobby that you may have and write about it. I love taking pictures and I think it would be fascinating to create a layout design and write different articles based upon the pictures. The magazine is an opportunity that evokes creativity. In order to create and write magazines you must know about social, economic, and political current events.You also get to decide which type of audience you would like to appeal to based upon the topics and language you use in the articles. Even as technology continues to increase magazines are still very important because they are a concise, presentable way to share news, opinions, and celebrity information.
