Revision

After watching our film in class and receiving feedback from our piers and Mr. Elsbree, my group decided we would like to redo our film. We experienced problems with our location, sound, and there were also many confusing aspects of our original plot. In the first draft of our film there was a girl, Rachel who was in town for college and went to the beach to meet up with her brother, Shane. While they were walking the beach they notice many girls have gone missing that she knows on Siesta Key Beach, which her brother describes in their conversation. He decides that he has to use the restroom and leaves Rachel alone by the beach. While he is gone, an evil voice tells Rachel to enter the water which eventually causes her to drown. Once he returns from the bathroom his sister has gone missing so he calls the police to report the crime. In the end of the film he says he will find his sister no matter what. However, after we viewed the film in class we realized that he needs to have more of an intriguing reason to leave his sister alone at the beach when he knows girls are going missing. We also determined that it would be hard to do a voice over of a voice telling her to enter in the water so we decided to completely eliminate that. In our final draft for our film we decided that Rachel, the girl and Shane, the brother would be at Siesta Key on picnic tables talking after she returns from college. Shane is also a police officer so when a volunteer interrupts their conversation to present the missing posters he tells his sister about the case. He then receives an emergency phone call from his Lieutenant where he needs to leave the beach as there has been an emergency. Rachel decides to leave after he says that he had to leave the beach and wanted to take a raincheck. As she is walking to her car a random man kidnaps her and throws her in the trunk of a car. Due to these reasons, we decided to completely reshoot our film after we made revisions to our plot.
